PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a proper pre-injection condition, in a recording head for carrying out bidirectional recording using a reaction liquid. SOLUTION: The reaction liquid is pre-injected from a delivery port in a rear side with respect to an advancing direction of the recording head at timing after recorded on a recording medium, in reciprocation scan of the recording head, and ink is pre-injected at the timing when the pre-injection of the reaction liquid is not executed.
