<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the period of construction work by shortening time needed for solidification and curing, and reduce the quantity of wastes by effectively utilizing fly ash as waste, in the case of solidification using a conventional solidification agent which is solidified by adding water wherein a large amount of water is used, long time is required for subsequent solidification and for curing as well and the period for construction work is elongated. <P>SOLUTION: The water-absorbing aggregate is an aggregate for being mixed in a solidification agent which is solidified by adding water, and is solidified into a granular shape by mixing fly ash, sodium silicate and water in the state of having a water-absorbing capacity.
