The rotor has multiple rotor blades (1) for circulating a stock suspension incorporated in a container of a paper stock processing machine. A wear protection unit (3) is detachably attached to a leading front surface of each rotor blade, where the front surface is viewed in a rotational direction (4) of the rotor. The wear protection unit is made in two parts. The wear protection unit includes a changing part, which is detachably attached to a guiding part. The changing part protrudes over the rotor blade. The rotor blade is designed as a plate.
