<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater safely supplying hot water to a container. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes: a door 8 for blocking or opening a front opening of a container placement part 7; a door opening/closing determination means 9 for determining the opening/closing state of the door 8; and a control means performing control to supply hot water in the case where it is determined by the door opening/closing determination means 9 that the door 8 is in the closed state and stop the hot water supply when it is determined that the door 8 is in the opened state, when a hot water supply button 13 is operated.
