PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alicyclic group-containing ester compound which has a new specific structure and can be used as a cross-linking agent for giving various cured products having excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, water resistance and so on, and as a stabilizer for resins containing organic phosphorous compounds as flame retardants, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This alicyclic group-containing ester compound is represented by general formula (1) (x) is an integer of 1 or 2; (b) is 0 or 1; A, D and E are each independently H, a halogen atom, an alkyl which may have a <=12C substituent, or an alkoxy; X is an unsaturated alicyclic ester group represented by general formula (2) [(m) is an integer of 1 o 2]; B is H, a halogen atom, an alkyl which may have a <=12C substituent, an alkoxy or an allyl ester group}.
