PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blur correction device which can be easily manufactured, can precisely lock a blur correcting optical system when not performing blur correction, and can obtain satisfactory optical characteristics. SOLUTION: The blur correction device is provided with a lock ring member 14 which rotationally moves between a lock position for limiting the movement range of a correcting lens holding frame 6 moving together with a blur correcting lens 3 to a lock range narrower than a blur correction control range and an unlock position for not limiting the movement range to the lock range, and a lock ring holding member 8 rotatably supporting the lock ring member 14. In the blur correction device, a part supported by the lock ring holding member 8 of the lock ring member 14 is the engaging part 1402 of a cylinder surface provided on the outer periphery of the lock ring member 14, and the lock ring holding member 8 supports the engaging part 1402 of the lock ring member 14 by a plurality of flat parts.
