<p>Process for preparing a magnesium complex, said process comprises
a)adding a solution of a dialkyl magnesium compound of the formula R 2 Mg, wherein each one of the two Rs is a similar or different C 1 -C 20 -alkyl, in a C 6 -C 10 aromatic hydrocarbon to a monohydric alcohol of the formula R'OH, wherein R' is a C 1 -C 20 -alkyl at a temperature of 60 to 90°C and after reaction in step a) is completed
b)adding an aromatic carboxylic acid chloride or diacid dichloride as donor precursor at the same temperature as used in step a) and after reaction in step b) is completed
c) cooling the reaction mixture down to a temperature of 15 to 30°C yielding the magnesium complex as liquid,
and its use in the preparation of procatalysts of the Ziegler-Natta type by emulsion/solidification technology.</p> |
