<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for specifying respective identification object areas included in an image. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of a component image generated from an image (original image) obtained from the outside (s140), areas of the identification object areas (two-dimensional codes) are detected from the inside of the original image (s230) through extraction of a candidate area in the component image (s150), and determination of whether characteristic patterns are included in each of corresponding areas in the original image corresponding to the extracted candidate area (s220).
