<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elongate time during which a portion of fans allowed to be left unmounted or stopped in a cabinet and the cooling method in the cabinet, without causing a unit fault in the cabinet. <P>SOLUTION: In a device cabinet 1, server blades 8A, 8B are mounted. Fan units 9A, 9B are housed between the server blades 8A, 8B and an air inlet 13. When the fan unit 9A is dismounted from the cabinet 1, a cover plate 15 is placed to cover between the server blade 8A and the air inlet 13, and a heat pipe 16 is interposed between the cover plate 15 and the fan unit 9B.
