<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable liquid level detector having high reliability, preventing contact malfunction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A float switch 10 includes a float case 28, a magnet 32 housed in the float case 28 and functioning as a magnetic part operable in accordance with a liquid level around the float case 28, a hole IC31 housed in the float case 28 and functioning as a magnetic sensitive part for detecting the operation of the magnetic part 32, and an auxiliary part 35 provided in the outside of the float case 28 and formed to have a specific gravity smaller than that of the float case 28.
