<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-cathode lamp capable of restraining biased mercury at an end of a bulb, when using a spiral filament, and to provide a lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: In the hot-cathode lamp, wherein mercury is filled inside a glass bulb 1 and an electrode mount 3 having a pair of leads 31a, 31b and the filament 32 is mounted and sealed at an end of the glass bulb 1, the filament 32 has a pair of leg sections 321a, 321b, and a spiral section 322 connected to the pair of leg sections 321a, 321b. The pair of leg sections 321a, 321b are respectively connected to a pair of leads 31a, 31b; the inner diameter r of the glass bulb 1 is 6 mm or smaller; and the length L in a bulb-axis direction of the leads 31a, 31b and the leg sections 321a, 321b located in a space of the glass bulb 1 is 5 mm or smaller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
