PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a failure, such as, disconnection or short of a control line which electrically connects between a display driving unit and a central control unit (CPU), and to prevent at least a wrong display at failure of the control line. SOLUTION: The display control system includes the LCD (liquid crystal display) driver 11 configured to output from many data terminals, display signals to be applied to the LCD 100; the CPU 10; and the control line 13. The LCD driver 11 is configured to transmit S1 feedback data outputted from an SEG terminal S1 among the SEG terminals S1 to S54, to the CPU 10 via the control line. The CPU 10 is configured to control the LCD driver 11 to output a predetermined signal, also obtain the S1 feedback data outputted from the SEG terminal S1 of the LCD driver 11, and determine whether the data matches the predetermined signal obtained by controlling the LCD driver 11, and then, detect the failure of the control line 13, based on the determination result.
