<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a last capable of manufacturing a shoe which can naturally prevent downward and valgus displacements of the skeleton of a foot section resulting from the conventional last by achieving common points possessed by the originally healthy foot, which is still non-reflected in the conventional last, as a curved surface; and to provide the shoe. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This last 1 includes at least a last sole section 2 which comes into contact with an insole of the shoe when manufacturing the shoe and transfers the base shape of the last sole section 2 to the outer shape of the insole. In this last, the last sole section 2 has a first recessed section 23, and the first recessed section 23 has a second recessed section 21 formed at a portion corresponding to the central part of the foot sole side, a third recessed section 20 formed at a portion corresponding to the inner part of the foot sole side, and a fourth recessed section 22 formed at a portion corresponding to the outer part of the foot sole side. The first recessed section 23 has a curved shape formed by continuously connecting the second recessed section 21, the third recessed section 20 and the fourth recessed section 22.
