ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SIGNIFICANT LIVER FIBROSIS

PURPOSE: A method for providing information needed for significant liver fibrosis is provided to accurately diagnose significant liver fibrosis. CONSTITUTION: A method for diagnosing significant liver fibrosis comprises: a step of measuring concentration of gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT), matrix matalloprotenase 2, tissue inhibitor 1 of metalloproteinase 1(TIMP 1), and alpha2-macroglobulin(alpha2-MG), haptoglobin(HG); a step of calculating liver fibrosis score based on formula 1(-0.928 + 0.018 x GGT + 0.013 x MMP2 - 0.003 x TIMP1 + 0.007 x alpha2-MG - 0.008 x HG); and a step of determining whether the liver fibrosis score is over 3.3 or below 2.2. A sample of a patient is blood collected from a patient with chronic liver fibrosis.
