The invention relates to electrochemical treating of metals, in particular, to a design of a portable device for use in gilding by electrorubbing of metal articles, e.g. from stainless steel. The proposed device comprises a housing, an anode with a current lead and a electrolyte-impregnated tampon and characterized in that the anode comprises a plurality of layers from electro-conducting material with developed surface and contacts with the current lead, the tampon is multilayer, the tampon layers alternate with the anode layers. The proposed process is characterized by using the invention device. |
