摘要 FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of determining retention of adhesion properties of mastic relates to methods of assessing physical properties of plastisol mastic used to protect the bottom and sealing welded joints of car bodies and can be used in determining retention of adhesion properties of mastic after corrosion testing. The method involves applying mastic onto the surface of a plate. Samples are then put into a heat chamber, kept there at defined temperatures and then cooled to room temperature in not less than one hour. Adhesion is then determined by tearing off the film cut from the edges. Prepared samples of plastisol mastic which show positive adhesion characteristics are put into a salt spray chamber and a humidity chamber. At the end of each day of the holding period which is 240 hours long, the samples are taken out of the chamber, and adhesion is determined after holding for 1 hour and 24 hours at room temperature. The mastic is applied in form of 2 strips, one (working) of which is periodically subjected to mechanical effects in order to determine adhesion, and the second (control) is subjected to mechanical effects only after 240 hours and after holding the samples at room temperature for 1 hour and 24 hours. ^ EFFECT: possibility of obtaining reliable data on stabilisation of adhesion properties of plastisol mastic during its solidification after corrosion testing. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg
