<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operation efficiency of a fuel cell by enabling control for suppressing variation in output of the fuel cell by expanding an operation voltage range of a power storage device to properly control the output between a generator device and the power storage device for a required output of an electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A DC-DC converter 13 operates in four states by combining two voltage states based on a relative magnitude between the total voltage of a fuel cell stack 11 and the total voltage of the power storage device 12 and two current states, i.e., discharging and charging of the power storage device 12. The current voltage characteristics of the fuel cell stack 11 and the current voltage characteristics of the power storage device 12 are set to cross each other for the current voltage characteristics indicating a change in the total voltage according to a change in current. A difference in voltage between the total voltage of the fuel cell stack 11 and the total voltage of the power storage device 12 is prohibited from dropping below a predetermined value at transition between the two voltage states. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
