<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking stick that enables a user to walk in an ideal posture, such that the body balance during walking is stabilized on a slope as well as on the flat ground and that walking with a regular step is made possible, where the user swinging the arms back and forth without stretching the joint uselessly from the state that the arm is bent by about 90°, with the stick held in a natural wrist condition free from a load on the joint. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the walking stick 1 including a grip 2, an upper shaft 3, and a lower shaft 4, the grip 2 has a bending α counterclockwise in a plane view, with the center line 8 of the upper shaft as a reference, while the lower shaft 4 has a bending β of not more than 45° clockwise in a plane view, with the center line 8 of the upper shaft as a reference, that the tip end of the lower shaft 4 is made greater than the tip end of the grip 2 in the distance from the center line 8 of the upper shaft, and that the tip end of the lower shaft 4 is bent so as to have a length L3 of not more than 15 cm from the center line 8 of the upper shaft.
