Class 124 [Also in Group XXI] A core-bit comprises a round-ended annular body carrying abrasive particles and having water grooves passing over the end from the inside to the outside dividing the bit into sector-shaped portions, and auxiliary water grooves extending from the middle of the sector-shaped portions over the outer surface. As shown, an annular body has water grooves 20 extending over the rounded working face from the inside surface 12 to the outside surface 13, and rows of diamonds R extending parallel to the grooves. Auxiliary water grooves 22 are provided starting from the middle of the sectorshaped portions formed by the main water grooves and extending over the outer surface 13. The diamonds on the inner and outer surfaces are flush with the surface, while those on the rounded working end protrude from the surface.
