VEHICLE SURROUNDINGS DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking aid correctly grasping distance relationship between one's own vehicle and an obstacle.

SOLUTION: A vehicle rearward display device is a display device for displaying a vehicle rearward image on a display 8 upon receipt of a vehicle rearward movement signal. The vehicle rearward display device includes: a wide angle camera 6 for taking a vehicle rearward image; a sonar 2 for detecting the distance between the rear part of the vehicle and an obstacle around the vehicle; and a drawing IC 4 for displaying on the display 8 the vehicle rearward image taken by the wide angle camera 6, and superimposedly displaying on the display 8 a distance display line indicating a predetermined distance from the rear part of the vehicle. The display form of the distance display line displayed by the drawing IC 4 is changed based on the distance value between the rear part of the vehicle and the obstacle around the vehicle detected by the sonar 2.
