PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information output method which outputs confirmation information for confirming whether a fellow passenger is carrying personal items, in order to prevent him from leaving things in a vehicle. SOLUTION: The information output device 100 is mounted on a moving object. A detection section 101 detects a fellow passenger in the moving object. An output section 104 outputs confirmation information for confirming whether the fellow passenger detected by the detection section 101 carries a prescribed personal item to himself. Specifically, a fellow passenger identified by an identification section 102 and one's personal item are registered with a registration section 103, in association with one another, and the output section 104 outputs confirmation information relating to the personal item associated with the fellow passenger identified by the identification section 102.
