PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that an amount of light received by a first light-receiving element is very small compared to that of a second light-receiving element, and therefore, it is difficult to adjust balance between the signal currents of the first and second light-receiving elements, with respect to an optical sensor having the first light-receiving element for receiving the light of an irregular reflection component by a detection body from a light-emitting element and the second light-receiving element for receiving a regular reflection component. SOLUTION: A convex lens 152 that receives an irregular reflection component is formed in the shape of an ellipse and thereby it is made larger than circular convex lenses 151 and 153 corresponding to the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element that receives a regular reflection component. Hence, the amount of light received by the light-receiving element for receiving irregular reflection light is increased. The absorbing axial directionsθ1 andθ3 of polarization films 161' and 163' corresponding to the circular convex lenses 151 and 153 are set to 0°. The absorbing axial directionθ2 of the polarization film 162' corresponding to a circular convex lens 152 is set to 90°. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
