<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid applicator which can suitably supply a fluid without causing the delay of fluid supply. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fluid applicator including an applicator body 42 having an application mechanism 46 for applying a fluid, a transfer mechanism 43 for reciprocating the applicator body 42, and a control mechanism for driving the application mechanism 46 and the transfer mechanism 43 to temporarily stop the application of the fluid and the transfer of the applicator body 42, when the applicator body 42 is transferred under the application of the fluid to arrive at a stroke end, and includes delay means TS for transferring the applicator body 42 by delaying a prescribed time after the application of the fluid is started, when the application of the fluid and the transfer of the applicator body 42 are started from a state stopped at the stroke end.
