<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive operating device for a vehicle air conditioner simplified in constitution with excellent operability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This operating device 1 for the vehicle air conditioner includes a control box 5 having a surface side made as an operation panel 2, a panel sheet 11 printed with switch functions and designs, stuck to an external face side or an internal face side of the operation panel 2 or insert-molded, and a touch sensor sheet 12 stuck to the internal face side of the operation panel 2. The touch sensor sheet 12 is transparent or translucent and is capable of transmitting light.
