A method for the production of biodegradable polymers from citric acid and 1,10-decanediol by thermal polycondensation, involves (a) making a mixture of citric acid (or other comparable acid) and 1,10-decanediol (or other comparable higher alcohol) in petroleum ether (or other comparable solvent with a similar boiling point), (b) heating to 100-300[deg] C, (c) coloring the liquefied phase with a commercial dye and (d) stopping the heating process at the required temperature and taking off the product.
