<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the confirmation of success/failure of photographing, and to attach new interest during reproduction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When photographing is performed, whether the face of a person who is registered in advance is included in a photographed image is checked. When the face is included, the face area of the face is specified, and the success or failure of photographing the face area is determined. Additional information including the face area and a determination result is added to image data to prepare an image file. During reproduction, an area frame showing the face area shown in the additional information is superposed on the image and displayed. When a touch panel sensor detects that a user touches the area, either voice for a photographing success or voice for a failure, which are previously registered in accordance with the face of the face area, is reproduced in accordance with a determination result in the additional information.
