<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tomographic X-ray apparatus capable of reducing ring artifacts which appear on a tomographic image obtained by reconstitution operation of X-ray projection data regardless of existence of inferior sites in an X-ray detector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The relative position of an X-ray generator 1, an X-ray detector 2, and a rotation axis R of a rotation mechanism (rotating table 3) to rotate an object W is moved continuously or intermittently in the direction intersecting with the line between the X-ray generator 1 and the X-ray detector 2 during X-ray CT photographing to collect X-ray projection data of the object W, and each X-ray projection data is corrected depending on the relative position during each collection and subjected to reconstitution operation. Thereby, the data are obtained on each X-ray projection data in which the relative positions between the perspective image of the object W and an abnormal site of the X-ray detector 2 are different each other, and generation of the ring artifacts due to the abnormal site of the X-ray detector 2 on the resulting tomographic image is suppressed by subjecting it to the reconstitution operation.
