PURPOSE: A torque sensor using a differential gear is provided to detect the rotational angle or power easily and transmit accurate torque of an input shaft to a drive wheel. CONSTITUTION: A torque sensor comprises an input side operating unit(21), an output side operating unit(31), a snap ring(5), a differential gear unit, and a detection unit(8). The input side operating unit is extended from the leading end of an input shaft(2) and expanded in the shape of pipe. The output side operating unit is extended from the leading end of an output shaft(3) and expanded in the shape of pipe. The snap ring is arranged inside the input side operating unit and directly transfers the torque of the input shaft to the output shaft. The differential gear unit is inserted to the input shaft and the output shaft and fixed by a fastening ring(12). The detection unit is fixed to a rotary body(6) with a pair of pinions(42) in the differential gear unit.
