PURPOSE: A portable terminal including a projector module and a data display method thereof are provided to automatically control the size and direction of a screen according to features of an application program or contents of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(150) outputs a screen due to activation of an application program stored in a storage unit or a screen due to contents activation. A controller(160) checks at least one output attribute information among contents and an application program. The controller determines an output screen mode of the contents or the application program according to the output attribute information. A projector module(140) outputs a screen corresponding to the contents or the application program by control of the controller.
