LOCATING AND CLAMPING DEVICE, AND WORK PANEL CLAMPING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locating and clamping device, capable of preventing a work panel from being lifted off a workpiece placement surface from when the work panel is attached to a locating pin to when the work panel is clamped by a clamp arm. SOLUTION: The locating and clamping device is structured having: a protrusion 14a which is pushed by the clamp arm 6, when the clamp arm 6 is at its unclamp position, to protrude outward from a slit 9 formed in the locating pin 4; and a panel retaining leaf spring 14 which, presses the work panel WP onto the workpiece placement surface 2 as the protrusion 14a temporarily retracts into the slit 9 and is then elastically restored to protrude outward back from the slit 9 with an external force from the work panel WP when the locating pin 4 is inserted into a positioning hole H in the work panel WP.
