<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus which can check whether chemicals and placebos are properly arranged or not. <P>SOLUTION: This invention is the inspection apparatus 101 for checking whether a solid medicine 5 of a fixed shape used in comparative testing is packed as requested or not. This apparatus 101 includes near-infrared irradiation parts 9a and 9b which irradiate near-infrared rays to the solid medicine 5 stowed in two or more hollow pockets 4 formed on a resin film 15, and a recognition determining section 141 which disperses reflected light of the near-infrared rays irradiated by the near-infrared irradiation parts 9a and 9b to recognize whether the solid medicine 5 is a chemical under test to be intended for manufacturing approval or a non-chemical under test other than any chemical under test used in comparative testing depending on wavelength strength.
