<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing rhodium black from ammonium rhodium nitrite without generating NOx and further increasing a load to water treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing rhodium black is characterized in that water and an ammonium salt are added to an ammonium rhodium nitrite solution or a solution of the salt thereof, heating is performed, further, its pH is adjusted to a strong acid range so as to produce rhodium chloride nitrite, next, formic acid is added, and the rhodium chloride nitrite is reduced so as to produce metal rhodium (rhodium black). Preferably, the decomposing temperature of the ammonium rhodium nitrite is controlled to 60 to 80°C, and its pH is adjusted to 1 to 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
