<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for winding a metallic wire in which the inner surface of an L-shaped portion that continuously extends from a winding drum to a flange is designed to have an suitable round shape to prevent a winding collapse or a breakage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the reel for winding a metallic wire in which the diameter D of the metallic wire and the curvature radius R1 of the inner surface of the L-shaped portion satisfy the relation of 0.4D≤R1≤15D, and the thickness d1 of the winding drum and the thickness d2 of the flange are both within the range of 4 to 10 mm, the diameter D of the metallic wire and the curvature radius R1 of the inner surface of the L-shaped portion satisfy the relation of 0.4D≤R1≤15D, and the thickness d of the L-shaped portion satisfies the relational expression of d1<d(d1<d2) or d2<d(d2<d1).
