<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventional cylindrical lots used for perming hair can not cope with worries shared by not so young people, who tend to worry about the loss of strength and volume of their hair due mainly to aging, which often makes their whorled hair sharply split or makes their parted hair more noticeable, and who therefore often try to get their hair permed to volumize it in vain, because large-type conventional cylindrical lots are too large in diameter to get only the hair roots permed, bringing too loose waves for the roots to rise, and because small-type conventional cylindrical lots bring waves than necessary. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This permanent wave support, which is a sheet-like, thin, hair root-riser device, is designed to firmly hold the roots of one's hair, including those of whorled or parted hair, upright, against the growing direction of the hair, in perming one's hair.
