<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a JIT (Just In Time) compiler to perform processor-specific optimization in a VM (Virtual Machine) environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method generates an optimization code based on one or more processor instructions that are not supported by a managed runtime environment (610), inserts the optimization code into a managed application program interface relating to the managed runtime environment, generates an optimized managed application program interface that supports the one or more processor instructions (620), compiles the optimized managed application program interface including the optimization code and generates a compiled code by using a compiler of the managed runtime environment.
