PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for adding pixel values of an imaging element while preventing the occurrence of color moire. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: an imaging lens; a color filter array having a plurality of color filters disposed in a predetermined pattern; an imaging element having a plurality of imaging pixels which are two-dimensionally disposed on a receiving surface so as to correspond the predetermined pattern; a computation unit for adding pixel values of a plurality of adjacent pixels, which are adjacent to pixels of interest and have the color filters of the same color, among pixel values output by a plurality of imaging pixels of the imaging element, to thereby obtain imaging values of the pixels of interest; and a control unit that causes the computation unit to compute pixel rows of pixel values of the pixels of interest disposed in one direction for each predetermined pixel width for the other direction while shifting each of the pixels of interest along one direction to thereby generate images that are thinned out at a predetermined pixel width in the other direction.
