<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make correction so that a print image is favorably seen in an observation environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Environmental light information on a target and environmental light information on the observation environment are acquired (S101) to make environmental light correction wherein image data representing the print image is corrected so as to reproduce colors of the print image, obtained in the presence of target environmental light, in the presence of light in the observation environment. On the basis of the environmental light information, the image data are corrected (S105) so that the print image is lighter as the color temperature of the observation environmental light is higher than the color temperature of the target environmental light, and darker as the color temperature of the observation environmental light is lower than the color temperature of the target environmental light.
