PURPOSE: A composition containing Angelicae Dahuricae Radix extract is provided to enhance generation of intracelluar immune enhancing factor and to treat and prevent immune deficiency. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for enhancing immunity contains 0.1-50 weight% of Angelicae Dahuricae Radix extract as an active ingredient. The Angelicae Dahuricae Radix extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, or mixture solvent thereof. A health food for enhancing immunity contains Angelicae Dahuricae Radix extract as an active ingredient. The health food is used in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule, or beverage.
