<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image forming apparatus wherein a treatment liquid for making an ink aggregated is imparted to an intermediate transfer body by an extremely small amount, picture quality and reliability on the intermediate transfer body are favorable, and also a transferring property to a recording medium is excellent. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a treatment liquid foaming means (20) which makes the treatment liquid containing a reaction agent which reacts with a coloring material in the ink into a foam form, a foam-like treatment agent imparting means (10) which imparts the foam-like treatment agent to the intermediate transfer body (14), and a recording means (15) which transfers the ink on the intermediate transfer body to which the foam-like treatment agent has been imparted to the recording medium by forming the ink into a liquid droplet according to image information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
