PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method of providing a sub-nickname in an online game are provided to add a sub nickname function which can be frequently changed except a fixed nickname of a gamer, thereby immediately expressing a feeling and a situation of the gamer. CONSTITUTION: If generation or change of a sub nickname is requested, a game server(100) displays or changes a sub nickname of a character on a game screen. A game client(200) accesses the game server to perform an online game. The game client requests the generation or change of the sub nickname of the character to the game server by user manipulation. A sub nickname processing module(130) of the game server displays or changes the sub nickname. |
