<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extracting apparatus and method which are capable of thoroughly spraying an extraction solvent to an extraction raw material, and reducing cost by simplifying the structure of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This extracting apparatus 1 includes: a container 10 having an introduction port 11 for an extraction raw material, on the upper side and a taking-out port 13a foran extraction liquid, on the lower side, a filter 17 above the taking-out port 13a, a rotatable stirring wing 25 for equalizing the extraction raw material, and a shower device 40 spraying an extraction solvent to the extraction raw material introduced onto the filter 17. The shower device 40 has a plurality of injection ports 60 arranged at prescribed intervals along the circumferential direction on a plurality of concentric circles so as not to be overlapped in the radius direction on the internal and external concentric circles adjacent to each other.
