PURPOSE: An elevator operating system with a sound recognizing unit is provided to accurately detect a situation, such as a crime, by measuring sound pressure and frequency patterns of impact sound. CONSTITUTION: An elevator operating system(100) with a sound recognizing unit comprises a memory(103), a sound detecting unit(110), a situation detecting unit(120), and a control unit(130). The memory stores a data about frequency patterns and sound pressure of various sound sources. The sound detecting unit detects frequencies and sound pressure occurred in a vehicle. The situation detecting unit detects frequencies and sound pressure occurred when a specific situation stored in the memory. The control unit determines whether the specific situation is generated in the vehicle or not.
