The water pump has a housing (1) having a housing part (2), provided with an intake opening and an exit opening, and a motor housing part (3). An impeller (8) is provided with a shaft rotatably arranged in the pump housing part. A pump motor has a stator (12) having coils arranged on stator poles and a rotor rotating in the stator. The motor is an electronically communicated motor. The stator has a pack of unitary laminations. The pump motor has control electronics arranged in the motor housing part. The stator and the coils (13) and the control electronics are water-tightly encapsulated.
