A stepped (tiered) gating system to produce castings with differentiated structure and properties of initial (basic) melt contains a gating cup or funnel, a riser, a sump, a slag riser, an intermediate riser with constant or variable cross-section on the height, ingates located at different levels on the height casting sequentially introduced from the bottom up in the operation and provide supply of liquid metal sequentially into the different parts of mould as far as its cavity is filled with the melt, an intermediate flow-through reaction chamber, which is loaded by estimated amount of powder, granular, granulated or briquetted modifier, ligature or other additives for intra-mould melt processing. |
