PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by simplifying work in manufacturing an image transmission body such as a fiberscope. SOLUTION: The image fiber cable 10 includes: an image fiber 3 for transmitting an image of an object as light signals split to a number of pixels; a light guide fiber 4 for transmitting illuminating light for illuminating the object; and an armoring body 5 of the cable including the image fiber 3 and the light guide fiber 4. The image fiber 3 is a multi-core plastic optical fiber including: 50-30,000 cores made of transparent core resin; and a sheath which surrounds the periphery of the core and is made of sheath resin having a lower refractive index than the core resin, wherein the light guide fiber 4 is a single-core fiber, and the armoring body 5 is a tape spirally wound around its outside.
