PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "in-vehicle system" quickly displaying an alert image for alerting a user to an obstacle on the basis of information on an alert matter received from a roadside machine, as well as a guidance image indicating the current position or the like on a map, in the in-vehicle system mounted in a motor vehicle. SOLUTION: The guidance image 30 generated by a navigation device 16 is displayed on the entire surface of a display device 12, outside a communication area 210 of the roadside machine 200 (a). When a motor vehicle enters the communication area 210 of the roadside machine 200, two-screen mode is set as a screen mode, the guidance image 30 generated by the navigation device 16 is displayed on a left guidance image display window of the display device 12 (b). When obstacle information requiring a reminder is received from the roadside machine 200, the alert image 40 alerting a user to the obstacle indicated by the obstacle information is displayed on a right alert image display window of the display device 12 (c).
