<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation advice system capable of quantitatively determining the fuel consumption effect, by enabling a driver to determine the observance ratio in response to a vehicle operation state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This operation advice system indicates a gear position of a manual transmission suitable for improving fuel consumption in response to the vehicle operation state, and can recognize an observance degree of the driver to indication. The operation advice system is characterized by variably setting a threshold value of determining whether or not the driver obeys the indication in response to the vehicle operation state.
