<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function for a tool easily operable and generally usable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tool (1) for manually cutting food includes two basic elements (2, 3) rotatable pivotally on each other, allowing both surfaces to be flat when in non-use, and thereby requiring only a small storage place. Each of the basic parts (2, 3) simultaneously forms a guideway for the food, and has a functional surface equipped with a cutting area. In order to prepare the tool easily operable, saving space, and generally usable, respective front sides (10) of the two basic elements (2, 3) face outside in a first operating state, and respective rear sides (11, 12) of the two basic elements (2, 3) face outside in a second operating state.
