Production of an oxidative coloring preparation, which next to at least an oxidation dye intermediate, contains at least a fat body, at least one non-ionic surfactant and at least one anionic surfactant of the sulfate-type in an aqueous, cosmetic carrier, comprises: (a) melting at least one fat and at least one non-ionic surfactant at >= 75[deg] C and mixing with an aqueous phase; and (b) incorporating at least one of the sulfate-type anionic surfactant in the mixture obtained in step (a).
