<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase cruising range by extending EV travelling range to improving fuel economy while giving top priority to fuel consumption when the remaining fuel is at a low remaining amount range showing almost running out of gas and when the cruising range is emphasized. <P>SOLUTION: The driving mode of a power system is controlled. In the power system, both or either an engine or a motor selectively operates in a mode according to a set condition. A power system operation mode change control section 120 sets a different condition from a case when the remaining amount of the fuel is not less than a predetermined value when the remaining amount of the fuel according to the remaining amount of fuel information acquired by a fuel remaining amount information acquiring section 110 is in a low remaining amount range where the remaining amount of the fuel is less than a predetermined value, in this control.
